Blepharoplasty(eyelidsurgery)
Rejuvenate the eyes, upper and lower eyelids.
The right touch, a singular approach
Blepharoplasty rejuvenates the eyes by treating the upper and/or lower eyelids. On the upper lid it corrects the excess skin that weighs down the gaze; on the lower lid it addresses eye bags and laxity, for a rested look that does not change your expression.
Upper eyelids: a fine scar is concealed in the natural crease of the eyelid and is barely visible once healed. The procedure can be performed as a day case under local anaesthetic.
Lower eyelids: the transconjunctival (internal) approach removes or redistributes the fat in the eye bags without any external scar. Where there is excess skin, a fine incision just below the lashes is preferred, leaving a scar that is barely visible.
Both eyelids can be treated in the same operation, and the procedure is often combined with a temporal lift or injectable treatments for a harmonious overall result.
Step by step
Assessment
Eye examination and analysis of the eyelids, photographs, choice of technique and planning.
Surgery
A short day-case procedure: scar in the crease for the upper eyelid, transconjunctival or subciliary approach for the lower.
Recovery
Cold compresses, with bruising and swelling for 5-10 days and the final result at 2 months.
